About Sıla Topal
I was born in 1987 in Ankara. I completed my primary and secondary school at Anıttepe Primary School which is followed by my high school education at Milli Piyango Anatolian High School. After graduating from Gazi University Faculty of Dentistry in 2010, I started my specialist doctorate training in the Department of Orthodontics, as a fruition my childhood dream. During my education in dentistry, I attended many trainings, seminars and congresses locally and abroad. I completed my doctorate education, which lasted for 5 years, in 2016 by being entitled to receive a Tubitak success scholarship. I received the title of specialist with my thesis on ‘The Effect of Rapid Maxillary Expansion on Pain and Cytokine Levels’.
My professional interest areas are mainly adult orthodontics, clear aligner treatment, orthodontic treatments for periodontal damaged patients, early-term habit blocking and protective treatments, functional treatments and smile design.
